Here are my top 3 picks for the week of November 18th.

Starting off with my third pick. This is a second issue of ‘I hate Fairyland’ if you didn’t pick up the first issue I would advise you to do that. This is the first comic that Skottie Young has put out on Image and it is a great refresher.

Does Gert die by the axe of her assassin, Bruud The Brutal? Spoiler: Probably not.

My second pick of the week is keeping it real with Star Wars! I love what Marvel has been doing with Star Wars in the comic world. And now we get to see Vader fighting on his own, with this weeks release of ‘Star Wars: Vader Down #1’ It’s going to be great seeing where Star Wars goes with all of the new cannon coming. Does this comic make ‘Vader’ an even bigger bad ass? Fucking, probably.

And my first pick of the week goes to! (drum roll please!) I’m a sucker for a good Batman story, so I’m giving this one up to the return of one of my favorite artist Jim Lee! Now this is a mini series, so that means that Jim Lee won’t be in all of them but it can’t be bad if he put his name on it.  This week the first issue of ‘Batman Europa’ where Batman will have to turn to the one person he hates to help him solve the one thing he can’t win.

Superstar artist Jim Lee returns to the Dark Knight with this premiere issue! The impossible has happened and Batman is on the verge of being taken down by an enemy he cannot defeat: a virus for which there is no cure! And the only hope for his salvation is The Joker! Who infected Batman, what does the Clown Prince of Crime know, and how will the Dark Knight get that information? Together, the enemies crisscross Europe, desperate to find answers before time runs out.

Co-conceived by Matteo Casali and Brian Azzarello, this 4-issue miniseries event will feature art by top talents over layouts by the incomparable Giuseppe Camuncoli (HELLBLAZER, Dark Wolverine), with the first issue pencilled and inked by none other than Jim Lee!
