We’re headed into the final stretch, Game of Thrones fans. At least, it’s the final stretch of this particular venture into Westeros. HBO has confirmed it’s looking to explore four separate spinoffs of the series in the future — when exactly we’ll get to see them, however, is still a mystery.
Until then, we’ve got 13 episodes left to find out who the rightful leader of the Seven Kingdoms is (it’s Daenerys. And Jon. It’s KhaleeSnow), and six of those episodes are reserved for the final season. So savor every moment, because we’ll only be getting seven hours this year.
Rest assured, however, that those seven hours will be unbelievably epic, and by epic I mean full of dragons. Because that’s what we all came here to see, right?
It stretches from the south, where heat breeds plots, lusts and intrigues, to the vast and savage eastern lands, where a young queen raises an army. All the while, in the frozen north, an 800-foot wall of ice precariously protects the war-ravaged kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men…all play the ‘Game of Thrones.’
An original series based on George R.R. Martin’s best-selling ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ series.
