And it’s chock-full of sass.

Netflix is continuing its full superhero domination game this summer with the coming together of its four Marvel properties: DaredevilJessica JonesLuke Cage, and Iron Fist. In The Defenders, the group must form an unlikely partnership to keep New York City from falling. And, in spite of (or maybe because of?) their vastly different backgrounds, they’ll each have to find time for witty one-liners.

To be honest, I’m just excited to see more of Madame Gao.

Marvel’s The Defenders starts streaming on Netflix August 18, 2017.

Marvel’s The Defenders follows Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal – to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together. The Netflix original series will launch globally on August 18, 2017.
