App of the Week Review
Warhammer 40,000 Deathwatch: Tyrannic Invasion
Warhammer 40,000 Deathwatch: Tyrannic Invasion it Is a tactics game from the developers at Rodeo Games. The full game was released July 2015 and has had only a few updates since then. But, it is one of the few games on iOS to be running unreal engine for, So the game looks fantastic! Of course a game takes place in the vast universe of Warhammer, in this you command a squad of Space Marines in intense turn-based battles. Being a tactics game, every move counts and the player must carefully maneuver their Space Marines to overcome frequent spikes of overwhelming enemy forces. The game almost feels like a cross between tactics and tower defense with some of the auto attack features built-in that occurred during the enemy turn called overwatch. The game features 40 missions that fans of the franchise will enjoy, As well as those who just enjoy iOS games.
There is a leveling system and it in app purchasing system as well. The leveling system is very basic on making certain characters stronger after each mission.
My experience with the game so far has been very enjoyable. The animation and the impact on decision quality for where each character should be placed as a dynamic component to the gameplay. I find it satisfying to be able to plan an attack or an ambush for the enemy and everything goes along as planned. I definitely recommend downloading this game while it’s free but it won’t be for long! I also don’t see myself spendings $36 on in-game purchases either!
